Here is an update to the USBC merger at the local level. The PDBA Council of Delegates voted at their Annual Meeting on March 26th to “merge” with the GPWBA and the GPYABA to form one association under the USBC banner. However, the GPWBA voted at their Annual Meeting on April 2nd to “not merge” with the PDBA & GPYABA so we will not be merging this year. USBC requires that the men’s BA and the women’s BA must agree to a merge to make it happen. Unfortunately, the YABA does not get a vote. The voting turnout at the annual meetings of both the PDBA & GPWBA was low so make sure your voice is heard at next years meeting by selecting delegates who will attend the PDBA annual meeting and informing your women bowlers of the GPWBA annual meeting date, place & time.
