PDBA History

The Petersburg District Bowling Association was founded on May 5, 1959 and

incorporated on October 28, 1999 for the purpose of uniting in a central organization,

all members of qualified bowling teams, leagues and unattached individuals

bowling in certified establishments located in the area prescribed by Article 4 of

the ABC Constitution. This area includes the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights,

Hopewell, Chester, Fort Lee & Fort Pickett and the counties of Prince George and Dinwiddie

in the state of Virginia. The boundary lines established for this association are as follows:

Chesterfield County south of a line formed by Proctors Creek, from the James River

east of US Routes 1 & 301, west to Chesterfield Courthouse Road and State Road 360.


In 2009, we became Appomattox River USBC.
